Hey guys and gals I am trying to re-home my female veiled as I can no longer take the stress of egg laying. She is about 2 years old and has laid one clutch of unfertilized eggs. She has been very well cared for and will come with the following:
1 ficus tree
1 umbrella plant
1 pothos plant...
Hey all I'm 99.99999% sure my female is gravid yet she isn't going to the bottom of her enclosure. There is an egg laying bin in the bottom with a 50/50 mix of soil and sand but when I check on her she is always at the top and doesn't seem to care about the bin. Any way I can get her to realize...
So how direct does the UVB bulb placement need to be? Does it have to be directly above a basking spot or will the UV rays reach a Cham even at an angle?
Hey all just thought I'd share the lowes has some great cheap plastic pots right now. They have a built in divider in the bottom to aid with drainage. Drill a few holes in the bottom and they're perfect. They were 3-8 bucks depending on the size.
So I'm in the process of building a huge furniture grade enclosure. However, it's not looking like I will have enough room for it in my current apartment so for the interim time I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to add on a screen "box" to the top of my Exoterra for a little bit of extra...
Hey all lately I've noticed a lot of threads bashing petco as providing inadequate setups. I had to stop by my local petco to pick up a new UV bulb and on the way I noticed they had Chams for the first time. I'm pleased to announce that they had a decent Cham set up with a dropper and...
It still needs the screens and a few more coats of poly urethane to water proof it but what so you guys think? Dimensions will be 48" height x 42" wide x 25" deep and there is a central drainage system set up as well.
So I'm fairly new to Chams but I thought I'd free range my female veiled after reading up on them. I set up a free range for her and she started to sort of desocialize. She stopped taking food from my hand and cup and started turning dark brown as soon as I walked in the room. Well she...
Hey everyone,
I'm new the chameleons but I'm trying to get the best setup possible. I wasn't going to free range but after reading so many positive things about it I decided to give it a shot. Here is what I ended up with. Let me know what you guys think. There is a 65 watt halogen flood light...
Hello all I'm the new owner of a female veiled chameleon, named Coco. Currently I have a monsoon mister set up to mist every 2 hours for 12 seconds during the day and never at night. I feed her 6-10 crickets everyday. I know the all glass cage isn't recommended but I'm letting her grow out...
