Am I the only one that is gonna say the yellow and red, and lighter green is making me say there is at LEAST a little Nosy Mitsio in it?? Idk I think Nosy Mitsio x Sambava cross... At least... Maybe even more in it... Hard to say in my eye
I will tell you grasshopper the secret of hibiscus :) I had one and I live in Texas and have it OUTSIDE and it's still surviving... Truth of the matter is it takes a LOT of water and a broad amount of light not just from the UVB to make it grow but what I found is that under a reptiglo LINEAR...
Took the words right out of my mouth... To determine how much D3 you personally need to use with your cham it depends on the brand, amount of natural sun, time under the UVB and the ACTUAL output of your UVB.... I give my two guys different amounts, Stanley who is docile and therefore can come...
Along with this, I will again reiterate that there are FAR more cons than pros to this. Animals come with a level of prEformed Vitamin A that can build up in a chams system leading to gout. Hooray if it looks cool watching your cham eat a frog but honestly I wouldn't want to put my cham at...
SO IM NOT CRAZY!!! I friggin KNEW there was something off about those males... I literally have done nothing to that colony since I got it from Mulberry Farms... Whats interesting is that I left the strange death head looking males in the bin to even out the M:F ratio and they were breeding like...

Please fill that out... Sleeping during the day at all is never a good sign, so by filling that out we can help assess husbandry and current issues that may be in place... I hope we can help!
Im trying to help a friend out but I don't want to get shafted myself for the work I put in... It's a small colony but its got close to 50 good adults, good male to female ratio and about 150 small nymphs, about 1 week to 1 month old... How much should I charge
They may be a type of fly called a stable fly or another like kind species but are not safe... The reason we feed fruit flies is that the nutrients they gain by eating the rotting organic matter is similar to the nutrients they would get from a normal gut loaded insect... Manure would provide...
I would still worry... Bacteria as well as mold can easy have spores that move through the air and affect not only your cham but you as well... IMHO I think you need to change drainage systems.. A build up of water ANYWHERE is a bad idea, in the cage or not...
Gravid colors means you need an egg laying bin and lower her food... Females need less food and ESPECIALLY don't need it every day at that age... The more you feed, the more eggs she can likely produce and there is a chance since you don't believe that she was taken care of, that she may be egg...
I would REALLY like to see more research on this topic... It seems especially when it does come to feeders like roaches that need more protein to grow and breed it would be very beneficial to find a way to simulate the benefits towards growth and breeding in roaches without actually providing...
Rule of thumb is to mist until there are drops of water over everything, its the droplets of water that will trigger the drink response.. Some chams just eat leaves, try making sure if this is the case that you keep really good safe plants in there and you could even try as there was a post...
It looks LIKE gout but the only thing keeping me from totally going with gout is the discoloration just after the foot right below the knee... It looks warped and discolored like many of the breaks we see on this site... It could just be a combination honestly, where as a supplementation issue...
To the OP it is normal for it to do that in the morning, I'm sire it is probably the SAME response that all creatures give in the morning lol... But if it is happening a lot during the day it could have something to do with temperatures as they also vent or "yawn" when it becomes too hot for...
Yes they sure do apparently :)

I won't say they are the worst out there but I will say after reading this page (http://chamownersweb.net/insects/nutritional_values.htm)It would appear that they definitely aren't the best... That said I still don't think we need to slam something that hard when it still does have it's benefits...
First off WELCOME TEXAN!!!!
Second I agree with Kinyonga at 8 months if he is in fact a male I believe it may be time for a vet visit and unfortunately I don't know of any exotic vets near you which is what you'll need for him.. I know there are a few more towards Dallas, Plano, and Richardson...
