Although I am a new chameleon owner, from what I have read, veiled Chams like to munch on vegies. It is a normal part of their diet, and good for them. You might need to do some reading about your critter, to become more informed as to his diet and to find out what greens and vegies are the...
Butter is about 3 to maybe three and a half inches without his tail now. He is still quite a little guy. I would imagine from other's pics that he is now close to 3 months old. He still has his baby green coloring.
I have my baby "Dipped in Butter" in an 18x18x36" screen cage. He was a tiny baby (2" long body, plus tail) when I got him a month ago, and he is growing like....a weed ! He is getting longer, and is nice and fat. He is active, and climbs all over his enclousure, which has a ficus that takes...
I purchased a "set up" from a reptile store. I did ALOT of reading prior to deciding to purchase a chameleon, and felt that I did very well with getting a complete setup. My initial cost with baby cham included was $159.00. (came with a ficus, mega dripper, miner-all, basking and uvb lights...
Hmmm. Anaheim Convention Center September 8th. I just might be able to swing that. Is it a one day thing, or the weekend ? Good prices on enclosures and supplies ? Where might I find information on the event ? thanks.
Are super worms bigger than meal worms ? My veiled is a baby, so I'm wondering about size. I just bought some wax worms, and he ate one a couple days ago, and another yesterday.
Do you keep them in the fridge ? how do you gut load them ? and they live for 3 months without turning into...
My baby veiled was hanging on to the side screening of his enclousure, playing some form of chameleon twister, and crash ! The poor little guy landed on the bottom of his cage. He laid there looking stunned (he landed on his belly) for a couple seconds, and then was trying to find a way up...
I rigged a deli cup to sit on a couple bio vines up by the top end of the encoulsure. I put some greens (kale or romaine) in it, to encourage the crickets to stay in there and eat. My veiled knows that in the morning, when I take out the cup, and change it for a clean one, that fresh food is...
New member with questions too

I have only been here a short time, just a week or two, but I also belong to other speices specific boards, one where I am considered an "expert".
To get questions answered here, and anywhere else, I would suggest being...
Can a wax worm escape from a deli dish ?
I gave "Dipped in Butter" his first wax worms yesterday afternoon. I put 2 in his deli dish, which is near the top of his enclousure. One was gone this morning.
So, did it crawl out ? And dig into the plant ? or if I don't see it anywhere, does...
eeeeeewwwwww.
Now you've done it. I can handle crickets, and a few worms, but you have just convinced me that poor little Butter will never ever know the taste of a roach. Nope. Not happening. And thank you, I'm itching all over now.
Little 'Dipped in Butter's' (he is pretty little, 2-3" without his tail) habitat is doing great....he is in a 18"x18"x36" screen cage. I have a great ficus plant in there that takes up the majority of the cage. I have 2 sets of bio vines looped around the enclousure for him, altho he likes to...
....but I'm not quite getting it on the calcium, vit A, gut loading thing yet.
I have a baby veiled, and am feeding my crickets flukers calcium quencher, shredded carrots, and various sliced fruit/vegies and some little dry cricket ballies called T-Rex calcium plus food for crickets.
I...

What was the time span between the two pictures ? My baby, looks like your baby picture...I'm just wondering how long until he looses that "baby" look !!!
