Thank you, he was my sweet heart and so I laid him to rest between two beautiful rose bushes in a natural cedar pot. Roses are the flower of love in American culture and he was absolutely the love of my life. Now he can also be beautiful in death just like he was in life.
Thank you everyone your support is very comforting. His passing is very hard on me and the decision was even harder to make but I am glad he is no longer suffering.
Even the vet who put him down cried with me, Thalin just touched the hearts of so many and was a very special chameleon.
I had to say goodbye to my beloved veiled Thalin this morning. He had been fighting a tongue issue this past month and though he seemed to be making a recovery he took a sharp turn yesterday evening. I rushed him to the vet this morning for critical care and after 30 minutes he seemed to be...
Unfortunately Thalin had begun to give up at the end and was suffering so I made the hard decision to euthanize. I will be making him a memorial thread later today.
Thank you both for your support.
Hey forums,
I could really use some prayers for my great grand, Thalin. He is not doing well and I am hoping to get him to the vet as soon as they open per instructions from ferretinmyshoes who is his regular vet 2 hours away (which will be in about 30 minutes).
He has been battling a tongue...
Jann I am so sorry to hear this! I can't believe you had to go through a repeat of what happened to Padre with sweet Cooper. At least he isn't suffering now and was in the absolute best hands for his 3 years with you.
May he rest in peace and have never ending yummy treats and all the girls...
I agree with the other posters, such a beautiful and healthy girl you have there :)
I can see where you think there are spurs and it may just be the angle you are looking at the feet and are seeing the opposite side of the foot or the slight muscle roll from her forelimb. But based on the...
It was a very traumatic experience for me. He gasped for breath many times and in the end I told him it was okay, he didn't need to suffer anymore. That's when his color faded and he passed on. I have only ever seen a pet betta die brutally once and this was far worse.
I dont know what...
Well folks I have a very heavy heart this afternoon. Despite my best possible care and spoiling I lost my new baby panther chameleon today.
It was a sudden and I could do nothing but watch as his life was fading, his suffering ended after half an hour of my trying to use shower steam and...
Yeah I have noticed that myself. So I am upping her mistings and possibly going to do more showers as she seems to like them. Her grip is still strong though (Still working out the kinks of panther husbandry haha, the enclosure I designed for her initially was too big so I had to set up a baby bin)
Thanks guys, I have a strong suspicion its a female (I will be having myself a nice conversation with the breeder as I ordered a male) because there has been a real lack of color development except peach/ faint bits of red and generally when relaxed it shows absolutely no patterns. I will try to...
Alright folks I have some update pictures and strongly welcome any thoughts as to if the baby is male or female, just so I can properly prepare as the baby grows. I also included just a for fun sleeping shot of right after lights came on :)
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
Yeah, though the kiddo seems to be showing a lot of female patterns and colors. I took this little one and my big veiled outside for sun today and I swear I saw the little one mimic a gravid coloration! I suppose I will just wait a couple more months for a definitive answer though.
Yup it's another one of those threads folks, I need some help identifying if my new baby is male or female. Supposed to be male however Dayna and some other folks suspect female. What do you guys think? Baby is around 2 months old.
Please and thank you for all of your experience!
Hey guys, yup its one of those. I could use help identifying if my new baby panther is male or female. So far many have said female, thoughts? He/she is about 2 months old or so.
