When I went to my local pet store to buy my cham the also told me and made me buy bark, thankfully I read up and only used the substrate for 1 day....and by the way the crickets hide in the bark.... Paper towels work great.... easy to clean and easily replaced.... I change his every other day...

I clean their tank every other day... and tey are so nasty and stinky.... I don't get a lot of dead one.... does anyone know how to keep them from getting so smelly??!! I clean their tank every other day and change the food every day!!!

Hi... My veiled cham is 4 months old.... and he absolutely hates me... I have tried to hold him a few times... trying to help him adjust, but the last time he bit me and he flew out of my hand and that was the final straw.... I just don't want him getting hurt or stressing out...so I decided...

Definetly an obsession!!! Tattoos & chams.....I've only had mine for 1 month and 5 days...and I as well am smitten!! :p:p:p

My little guy has a dripper and he gets hand sprayed 2-3 times a day. He know where the dripper is and I have caught him drinking from it, but he drinks when I spray him as well...

I will definetly look at that blog... I free range his crickets... so I let him basically hunt them.... I think he would probably eat the screen if I only put 4-5 crickets in there (lol).... but I was feeding him 10 crickets but I noticed that by 3 or 4 pm he's was searching for more so... now...

I'm sorry I wasn't clear... when he wakes up he goes and devours 4-5 but about 1 hour later he's eaten about 10 and by the end of the day he has eaten 20-25..... I was just worried he might over do it... he has also doubled in size since I brought him home (2/12/10) the crickets are about 1/4...

Hi my male veiled is 4 months old....he's eating like a little piglet:p.... is there a limit as to how much I should feed him? When he wakes up the first thing he does is yawn and eats 4-5 crickets... I don't know if they can eat as much as they want or should I limit his cricket intake?

My cham has a preferred potty spot... It's so funny when he wakes up.... yawns... eats 2 crickets.... walks a few steps and puts his toosh over the edge and goes.... same spot everyday.... easy for me to clean .... :D It's the same routine everyday...

I buy the distilled (RO purified) water... i don't trust my tap water or even those chemicals like reptisafe... so Zephryhills is getting my money!!! HAHA!

My cham... wil not fall asleep unless we cover his cage... he will go to his branch curl his tail and just stare at us... we will sut the tv off, lights everything but he still will not fall asleep... once that cover goes on he's out!!

I know it was very exciting!! e ususally doens't leave anything in his cage!! He's a piggy! But it make me sure he ate!!

My little Jose Jalapeno is 4 months old and he's A BIG BOY!!! Saturday he was basking in the sun basking and I decided I would try put a cup in his cage so he can try some worms.... I did and not 5 minutes later the meal worms were GONE!!!:eek: I thought maybe they got out... today...

My cham just did that yesturday... when he woke up he looked very dull and 1 hour later his skin had come all off... it was very very cool...:D

I really didn't know much about these little guys.... but I have learned a lot.... he has really impressed me....I'll post pic these afternoon.... Thanks... Now he thinks he's a big boy.... he puffs up and acts really tough it's absolutely adorable...:p
