Hmmm...
To be honest, I found your post really weird. You said she asked what you'll be doing tomorrow? If someone asked me that, I would not go into detail about caring for my animals...especially about cleaning up their poop! lol
Besides, the tasks you mentioned take about 10 minutes...
Thanks for the info. Winter 2012 I had a hard time keeping his basking temps stable. It's possible his spines got burned then. :-(
Here he is yesterday enjoying the nice weather. Other than the missing his spines, he looks healthy as a horse to me. Still as sweet as can be too.
Nitro will be three years old in November. I've noticed that most of his Dorsal Spines have become worn down. I don't really notice that on others Chams though. How did this happen? He's very healthy looking.
Yes, I've noticed Nitro doing that frequently. Especially when I set him on a bush or something outside. The first thing he does is take a couple licks. :-)
This response concerns me. "Full Spectrum" does not mean it emits UVB. You have to have lighting that emits the correct amount of UVB for the specific animal. These bulbs which emit UVB also need to be replaced approximately every 6 months because the amount of UVB given off by the bulbs...
My Panther usually gets his old skin off in a day and a half. And yes, the shed becomes his main focus. Sometimes he doesn't even eat the first day of it.
I googled "Lubber Grasshopper" and they have a very different look than the Grasshopper in the OP's photo. Even as an adult when the color is more similar, they have very tiny wings and a different posture.
Most people have their basking lights on a timer, 12 hours on/12 hours off. I have mine set for 7am to 7pm now, may change it in the winter months to 6am to 6pm.
Yes, I'm in Utah. Good to know another Utah member! :-)
