Please help

First time using this forum. My male Jackson chameleons eye recently has become swollen around the outer part of eye. No mucus. I also have not seen him eat for awhile now.But he is still very active.Any suggestions on what it could be , or how to fix the problem without that expensive vet bill? Please help me

Here is a picture of him.

If it were mine, he would be going to a vet. If you cannot afford it, then ask them if you can make payments. That eye looks bad and if he is not eating, there may or may not be somethint else going on.

It looks like an infection, possibly a sinus infection. That means a vet needs to prescribe antibiotics.

mcdbz is right though, fill out the form, print it out and bring it with you to the vet. That way you won't forget any important details.

Ty all

Ty for response. Well took him to the vet and they prescribed antibiotics. They also said to force feed him dusted mealworms for more protein to pick his weight back up. So far so good . The prob was he ate something and it punctured the roof of his mouth by his nose causing a sinus infection. Well first 2 doses he finally closed his mouth. Good sign.

Glad you got your cham to the vet, hope everything works out!

You think a mealworm or one of your feeders bit the chameleon? I was just talking about this topic with other members about HornWorms/SuperWorms.
