So I bought this female who's a little over a year old, but I don't know how accurate that is as I suspect her to be wild caught...she just doesn't act like the cb's I've seen. I got her a few weeks ago and she's been eating, but not very much and she's been drinking when I mist her cage. She...
The only time I see my female jackson's eat is while I'm misting her directly. She will be completely uninterested in her food until I start spraying...then she focuses...and if I stop spraying she stops and looks at me...so I start spraying again and she regains focus and attacks! LOL...
Maybe there are fungus gnats in your soil? I think I'm starting to get some in my potted schaefflera (sp?) because the drip from my drip system goes straight into it (Putting water shield in soon...I hear schaeffleras don't like having soggy bottoms).
I've got some lettuce in their little container right now...are collard greens better or will that suffice? Is citrus fruit ok? For some reason I think I've heard somewhere that citrus fruit like oranges is no good..
For a hundred bucks??? Ouch. That couldn't cost more than 20 to make...
Looks cool to get ideas from maybe but man, you'd have to be a sucker to buy that. Which reminds me...I've got some property on the moon if you're interested... ;)
Is this something I can get at HomeDePot or would I have to order online? I've seen all the misting attatchments at the store but I don't remember seeing pumps in the same section.
Thanks for the responses guys!
Ya know, at the most local of my local pet shops, usually I do see what looks like a small bit of glowing green goo inside some of the crickets. So maybe they do gutload there? I still dust with vitamins weekly and vary my chameleons diet with worms and such...
I'd like to set up a small mist system for two cages right now...and I'd like to do it with a pump rather than hook it up to my water supply. My local water is hard and so I'd rather use spring water in a tub with a pump and timer. Has anyone done this successfully and if so, got any...
I think I've already asked this in another thread but never got an answer I think because the question I asked was a tangent off the actual thread topic.
Anyways...does anyone know the difference (if there is one) between reptiSUN bulbs and reptiGLO bulbs? I was advised by a senior member...
...I buy just enough crickets for each feeding from the reptile store? Don't they feed them the same stuff that you gutload with? I've been wondering this for a while because it seems like a waste if they're already loaded and ready to go straight from the repti-store to then give them more...
Right now I've got two jackson's chameleons in screen cages in rubbermade tubs in my room. They've each got their own drip and mist system. And each one gets a window. :) Now, this is working out great for the time being but over the long term it's going to be a problem/pain-in-the-arse for...
When I introduced them he was definately interested but she puffed up and opened her mouth so I separated them. She's bigger than he is too so I don't want her to beat him up, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if she's already got buns in the oven...cause with the way her stomach looks I'd...
Is there a huge nutritional difference between silkworms and hornworms? They look almost identical except for color (from the silkworm pictures I've seen). The reason I ask is because I feed my jackson's chameleon hornworms and he loves them...problem is that they stick to the branches so much...
