Hmmm... So I'm not sure what you mean by click? The button makes a noise when you push it, but thats every time, not every other, and it doesnt really "click"...
There's a button I dont even know what it does, labelled R.
But then there's the recessed reset button that you have to push...
Ok, I need help again. Lol.
So I added an extra nozzle to my system before our vacation and it was leaking so we had to unplug the system while we were gone and have petsitter's hand spray. I've been hand spraying ever since. We left timer plugged in but MistKing system unplugged from timer...
$200 for a full setup is certainly not unreasonable. Cage, multiple light fixtures, UVB bulbs, vines, plants etc etc - all this adds up fast.
I would get the cage all planned out first locally if you can (or build your own if you're crafty), and then worry about locating the chameleon itself...
Well, she made it through the surgery, and looked ok, but then her breathing rate dropped so they had me leave her there for a while they had her on a heating pad and were stroking her and putting water on her mouth. They said she had a mucous plug in her mouth they cleared out.
Going back...
They're prepping her for anesthetic & surgery now.
I didn't have any KY, so I just kept it moist with water.
He said he thinks it looks like gut not reproductive.
He took X-rays, said her bones dont look too bad, a couple not as dense spots, but nothing looked too bad to me. And she does have...
On way to vet right now
I don't think he's very familiar so tell me important things to do/not do / tell him!
She looks really bad
Positive vibes everybody
I desperately don't want to lose her
Well, I'd rather be really sure. Especially if there's a risk of her injuring him with a bite, as I know he'll be a nightmare to try and treat an injury - he's been all defensive since he split my fingernail with a bite several months back.
Well, she did puff up her chin... but not really her whole body though, and she didn't hiss or gape or turn dark.
She's a pretty mellow girl though, so I wasn't sure if that was her "mellow-style" signal telling me "no, mom, just..no" lol
Try hand misting with warm water for several minutes (mini in-cage shower)
Also, how are you gutloading your feeders (I assume only crickets, since you said "no worms"?) Gutloading the crickets with fresh juicy vegetables and fruits could help a little, but I highly recommend some juicy horn...
I took the liberty of looking at some of your past threads to see how long you've had him.
Iimagine the previous UVB bulbs could have been partly to blame, especially of you had not changed the original bulbs since you got him last April?
I would highly recommend adding different supplements...
So, I hate to sound like such a newb here after all this time, but I really feel like one when it comes to this girlie breeding stuff. I don't know how to insert emoticons from my tapatalk app, but if I did, you'd see that pink embarrassed one here. Lol.
So -
I was thinking about it last...
I've inquired about LLL before, and they will ship, but the shipping charges were $50 per cage to me (I'm near Windsor, Ontario) - don't know about rest of Canada. That meant an extra hundred bucks for me (or more, as I wanted an extra cage at the time too, for outside) and that was just too...
Sorry I didn't notice this earlier, thanks for asking about my boy. :)
Yes Zaphod is a panther, a Nosy Mitsio. He's a pretty big boy, especially compared to my faly. At the time of this picture last year, he was about 156g, now his most recent weighing had him about 203g. I haven't measured his...
