The past couple of weeks I've noticed Lola showing some strange colors that she doesn't normally show, and even stranger, it's only when she sits on one specific branch on her plant. I switched the plant in her cage but it's the same type of plant that was in there before, so it shouldn't make...
Are chameleons known to be heavy sleepers?
Lola's perfectly healthy, but she could sleep through a tornado and she probably still wouldn't wake up.
Is this normal?

Im taking a guess that when she shot out her tongue she cut it on something, and maybe it got infected. I think you should find a vet immediately, and if there is absolutely no way that you can afford a vet, you should take a closer look at her tongue and see if that's what the problem might...
Lola seems happy and healthy but I started noticing yesterday that her nose is turning white... I thought maybe she was going to start shedding or something but it's just her nose... there's no cocaine stash anywhere that I can find... heh. any suggestions?

I decided to try and record Lola eating a cricket on my boyfriends cell phone... and you won't believe what happens...
It's really bad quality, but you can still see what's going on.

If anyones wondering... it was a very short fall, and she is...
Theres a big mix of fake and real plants in her cage, the one that she's standing on is real... it's one of those schefflera plants, she seems to like it alot, I am in the process of growing her a hibiscus plant also which I think she will like even more. I have a bit of a green thumb so I just...
I actually didn't even use a normal camera, these were taken with my boyfriends phone... the first picture is my favorite one too... hehe tell Fractal that she's single ;)
I just wanted to say that the hibiscus I planted is growing rapidly every single day, and doing wonderful... I can't believe that I planted it from seeds :)
My chameleon was given to me as a gift, no one knows how old she is, and Im just wondering if there is a way to tell... she is 6 inches long from her nose to her end (not including her tail) if that helps.
Thnx.
I wasn't too sure where to find it either, so I just bought some seeds from the department store and Im growing one myself, it seems to be growing very nicely.
Yes fountains are very bad...
The water won't be clean enough for your chameleon to drink out of unless you are cleaning it (sterilizing it) every single day which is a whole lot more work than a dripper if you really think about it.
Even though the water is moving constantly, it is...
I understand that fountains are bad for chameleons, the only reason that I took this one into mind was because it has a cleaning filter inside of it that keeps the water clean.
I would like to know why you think it would be bad?
Thanks.

Do you think that this would be suitable for a chameleon?
I came across it at the pet store yesterday, I didn't buy it yet, I thought I'd ask the experts first.
When you are misting them, they are absorbing the water right? is this somewhat a way of them taking a drink? When I am misting my veiled I do notice that she opens her mouth to drink, but this is the only time I ever see her drink... I mist her probably 2-3 times a day for a good 15 minutes...
