I have put collard greens and mustard greens and dandelion leaves in mine. He nibbles on the greens from time to time but doesn't much care for the dandelion.
I took Donnie to the vet last week and found out he had an intestinal parasite. The doctor prescribed Panacur to be given once a week for 4 weeks. The first time I administered it he tried to bite me, so it was easy to put a drop in his mouth. Lately I have been handling him more because I dont...
So yesterday I took Donnie to the vet to get a fecal and check for parasites. The tests came back with a positive for parasites. The Doc said they were nematodes (ascarids), does any have any more info on these? He prescribed Panacur to be given once a week for 4 weeks. Has anyone used this...
I stopped putting worms in all together, and only offered crickets for a week or 2. I wouldn't think with food available that they would starve themselves.
I finally got a mist king!!
How would one go about mounting this on a screen cage? I don't want to have to put a hole in the screen (as I have found out crickets are crafty escape artists) but I see that it may be the only option. Anybody else out there with a mistking and screen cage set up?
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - male veiled about 5 months old. I have had him for about 3 months.
Handling - I never handle Donnie unless i have to clean his cage.
Feeding - He gets about 10 - 15 crix about twice a day and 4-7 superworms every other feeding. I gutload with fresh greens, and...
My chameleon has been acting very strange for the last couple of days now. He is climbing up the back of the cage towards the UVB bulb. Like putting his nose right up against the top mesh. It seems to have turned his head more greyish. And as im writing this he just started opening and closing...
I have had my veiled for almost 2 months now, and he still doesn't allow me to pick him up. I've about come to terms with never being able to handle him freely.
So today I'm going to tackle the job of cleaning the cham cage really good. The only problem I have is that Donnie does not like to be handled. I've had him for over a month now and I attempt to handle him every couple days, but he just runs to the bottom of the cage and hides. Does anybody have...
Primarily to drink. I have a couple of live plants so that tends to keep the humidity at good levels. I mist for humidity purposes when he is shedding.
mine hates it at first but if I stand still while misting, he will come out after a minute and crawl around. he better get used to it cause im not stopping any time soon :p
From what i have read from other people whos chams go on hunger strikes, just keep putting crickets in there. They won't starve themselves with food available. Be sure and gutload them well though.
