When my two get together she just turns red, she is about 8.5 months, everything I've read says 1 year is about as early as it should happen. Do you have a crix colony going yet? Those little mouths can get expensive to feed I hear.
I'll probably put together a few questions and email you guys, I really didn't want to bombard you guys with questions if it was nothing.
She seems to be acting fine now, I just get a little jumpy with her because I read about so many females getting egg bound and I really want to avoid it.

Sometimes he sits right under the uvb instead of the basking, can he feel the difference and does he know enough to be where he is?
I guess what I was trying to say is I don't think that his area is large enough for him to explore -free range or not. it's about 3'x2' but he still wants to climb everything around him.
When either are out of their area I usually watch tv in the same room.
Before I got him, I was...
the past 2 days my male which is free ranged kept ending up on the floor or somewhere in the room. today when I picked him up off the floor i took him to the living room to climb around and explore. tonight he is in his tree sleeping.

I have a 2 year old ambanja male, free ranged, with a tongue issue.
he really doesn't show much interest in crickets, but he'll eat superworms out of my hand when he realizes what it actually is
