Where's my loofa?
He's really going through it.:D He's not too happy about it, either.
At night, in dreamland, he can finally find peace.
I better give my girl a "shout out" I don't post much of her, but she was looking lovely tonight. I love her feet.
I have a bright yellow pair of gloves that I thought would work for handling, but my male veiled flares up, charges, and looks like he wants to eat them. Not the right gloves for the job.:D
I have started a snail colony too. I actually caught a pair of them mating last night. My veileds will eat them, but it takes a minute for them to notice them.
What part of the casque? I'd be worried if it folded down from the top. Could it just possibly bee the flaps at the back that they felt? They flare them out for display. I love the look.
This isn't my photo, but in it you can see the flaps flared out.
I don't know if this is being sarcastic, to get your goat or what. Especially AFTER the fact you stated you are NOT seeking help.
Read all the way through a thread, before making yourself an ass. I see it done A LOT.:D
I've been using ebay for years, both buying and selling.
No problem setting up either paypal or ebay accounts years ago, so I imagine it's even easier now.:D
Make sure to check their feedback.
Splitting in two colonies might save you if you had something extreme happen to one. My colony is getting large, too. I keep dubias and hissers together and the hissers might get separated soon, due to how large they get and the number of babies I've been seeing recently.
I picked up my veileds at the Pomona reptile show in 2012. I purchased a M/F pair that have been bred. The first clutch of eggs were laid on October 1 and are set to hatch within the next couple of months.
I mentioned the company I got them from once in a thread and the entire thread was...
I feed my colony fresh fruits and vegetables. I pass a "halfway house" on my way to work and they put out donations of food that they can't use for the neighborhood folk to pick up. Today I picked up 2 bags of spinach, a bell pepper, and 2 packages of alfalfa/clover sprouts. Last week they...
I noticed a white spot on the tip of my chameleons tail and now it is going further up. What can this be???
He looks healthy otherwise. This is him taking in some UVB as God intended.
It's thinking, "HEY! Where did my security go!?!?".
Neither of my veileds (M+F) like to be "unanchored" and try to catch hold of anything they can with their tail if they feel unsecure.
Yours wanted your finger back.:D
I don't think anyone said the species, but I believe it is an Iris oratoria. It is one of the many species I keep and breed.:D
I feed mantids to my chams with no problems. Just keep them "size appropriate".
It is the 6 month point to change out the UVB bulb on my veiled pair. It is a repti-glo 5.0 and I'm upping the adults to a 10.0.
I have babies due within a few months.
I was wondering if it would be ok to use the old buld on the babies?
Not as intense as a new 5.0 bulb.
It is past the...
I feed the fully hardened beetles occasionally. You definitely know when one gets nabbed. CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH. I was also thinking that a little "roughage" in a chams diet might be beneficial. Definitely not a staple, but the newly hatched beetles are soft and I feel are pretty good for the...
I have eggs that were laid October 1 and some went bad, molded, and caved in within a couple weeks. There is one egg that seems to be caving in and molding presently. I'm guestimating mine should be hatching anywhere from April-June. The waiting is the worst. Have you candled the eggs to...
