Hello!
I haven't seen my cham drink too. What has been recommended is to add Hornwoms to their diet to insure they get hydration with feedings. Also putting your cham into the shower might help him drink. I placed some ice cubes on the top of his cage. I didn't see him drink, but the...
I read not to have your cham by a vent or where there is a draft. However, when I come home from work in the afternoon, Tobias really seems to enjoy when I put the ceiling fan on low for about an hour when I feed him. I can see some of the leaves in his cage move a bit... Normal? I would think...
I feed him enough during the night where there are 4-5 crickets left over in the cup before bed time / morning.
I don't have a dripper at the moment. I'm looking into an automated system. there are only live plants in his cage (big ficus, big coffee tree, 2 small fern things, 1 med weeping...
I leave at about 5am, so when I change to leave I'm very quiet and do it in partial darkness. Since I'm gone for mos of the day, Ill mist his cage and throw some ice on the top to provide humidity throughout the day. The lights are on a timer and turn on at 745am. When I get home from work at...
I got about 20 little (size of fingernail) Dubia, but after I dust them, and they are sitting in the feeder dish, I dont think Tobias can see them very well because of the lack of movement and how they blend in after the dusting. So I still have 15 or so sitting in my feeding drawer next to my...
So silk worms are good too? as a staple or just as a treat (like wax and super)? any difuculties with the care for the Horn or Silk worms? I dont think I can kill the supers if i tried!
Thanks for the input. My guy really likes Superworms, he really prefers them to crickets now so Im not going to feed them to him for several days. I attempted to feed him the Dubia (sp?) roaches but I dont think he liked them. He always ignores them in his feeder dish.
So Im looking for...
So Hornworms are softer than Super... Can a smaller cham (veiled ~3.5mo) eat a larger Horn? Can Hornworms crawl up the side of feeding cups (plastic deli cup)
I think t has to do with gravity / pressure. You need to create more pressure (restriction) somewhere in the piping so the water doesn't flow freely. maybe add a "U" in the piping so it ends up acting like a toilet, and the pressure evens out.
