The little guy unfortunately looks very dehydrated and is clearly not getting enough food. I don’t see signs of mbd but I’m sure that it’s not far off.
Thanks @JoXie411 for giving me tips on communicating with her about Cham care. I’m still a new owner so I was relying on a little input from a more experienced owner.
She unfortunately had deleted her Instagram account. I didn’t fully understand why, apparently it’s because she thinks she’s ugly and her face was on her account... anyways, the Cham is still alive... for now. I thought she was listening but when I asked for updates on a new cage, and supplies...
I have been communicating with her. She’s just lonely and looks to her lizard for companionship. She is listening and asking questions. I’ve sent her multiple links to all the stuff she needs and explained in great detail why she needs each. She doesn’t seem to understand why her stuff is wrong...
It was very shocking to see all this. This could of been a time everyone came together to help out! Many people (including me) did not have all the knowledge needed to take care of a cham, I came to this website looking for guidance and you guys were extremely helpful! Lets extend the same...
Have y'all noticed that by this point she has totally quit responding? Bickering in this thread isn't going to help anything. I understand everyone in this thread wants the best for that cham but attacking this girl won't help. I was super naive too, and many people on this thread helped me...
The wood needs to be coated but the metal is rust proof.
Any recommendations on the type of wood seal I should get? I’m sure an oil based one would be bad for him
Some family friends gave me this huge squirrel cage to repurpose as a cage for Robert. I’ve built a structure inside of it, and plan on getting a live vine plant to hang on the top so he will have a live plant to hide in and climb on. I’m also going to get some fake vine plants and leaves and...
Here pretty soon I’m going to completely do away with Roberts old cage. It’s served me well but when I went through Robert’s metabolic bone disease drama I had to quickly do away with his old enclosure and find this one. It’s nice but I have an even bigger one for him now, and I want to totally...
Robert ate on his own today guys!! I almost screamed with excitement but kept it in so I wouldn’t spook him lol. This is the first time I’ve gotten him to eat in his own since the Metabolic bone disease started. I bought a mealworm squirmer to put his superworms in to get him interested. However...
The dog got out and got ahold of my syringe I use to feed Robert... ugh. Anyways. Had to hand feed him today but he was compliant. I think I’ll just hand feed him from now on instead of syringe feeding. Makes less of a mess and I’m always paranoid I’m putting too much in his mouth at one time...
