Ok to leave Dubia in food dish overnight?

Ok yah I got the chameleon runner from full throttle and it’s the 4 inch cuz it’s for my large atrium when it arrives but for now it’s huge inside his little cage and a pain in the rear end to get out especially without scaring him. I think they stop moving then he won’t eat them that’s another...

Ok to leave Dubia in food dish overnight?

My 4 month old panther cham didn’t eat all of his Dubia Roaches today and I’m wondering if it’s ok to leave them in there over night till tomorrow as long as their still alive? Obviously wouldn’t wanna leave to many cuz they wouldn’t be properly gut loaded but just wondering if it’s a big deal...

Camano Island Washington giving away two bean beetle cultures

I ordered two bean beetle cultures and they are much smaller then I thought. My fault for ordering before looking closely but anyways they’ve been on top of my roach bin so their nice and warm and their just now starting to really explode with beetles got them about 2 weeks ago. But I have no...

    A Sudden Fright

As long as it’s not a constant stress you should be fine. Stress once in a while shouldn’t be a problem. Trust on the other hand might take a minute to get back, just be patient show him it’s ok and of course make sure the door can’t fall again haha you don’t want him afraid of his cage itself...

Need to re-home Veiled chameleon! ADVICE?

Check for rescues in your area and even local vets that deal with chameleons. What area are you in? You may even find someone on here willing to take on the task. Just make sure whatever you find your verify they know what their doing is only thing I recommend but that’s pretty much common sense.

    New cage

Looks much better, I would still invest in a solar meter if you ever get extra income as I said if you plan on having him more than a year or two they easily pay for themselves and give you much better peace of mind that your cham is happy and healthy. But let me give you a couple links where...

    New cage

Oh I see I think you misread me saying maybe change out the plant if it’s dying for me saying to change the bulb, I can see the way I worded it might be confusing I’ll add the word plant in there to make it more easily read.

Also I’m sure beman will agree the podcast called chameleon breeder podcast you can find it on iTunes or at chameleonbreeder.com has some of the most helpful info in the chameleon hobby in my opinion. Bill has over 100 episodes on pretty much anything you can think of cham related. How to mount...

    New cage

Yah that’s just something we all have to deal with they make these spotlights that can reach lower plants but that’s more for a large atrium style cage where the cam can get away. what you’ll prob have to do is Just rotate the plant or change it out for another kind of low light plant. (Pothos...

    New cage

@Beman can you give this guy any decent advice? I didn’t even see the light at the bottom of your cage though you don’t want that. You want all your lights top down as if it’s the sun. Realize your cham doesn’t know what a light is so he just sees sun all around is prob to much. That’s probably...

If you don’t have a solar meter 6.5 there a must buy in my opinion. Will let you know optimal basking spot for your cham and save you hundreds in bulbs knowing that your bulb (that says to change after a year) is still working is a huge money saver

    New cage

If it’s just the led I wouldn’t be to worried, he may be cold if you notice him trying to get closer to the lights often. But leds give little to no heat. What I would do is Just try raising temp very slowly in his basking area if this behavior continues but if he’s still on his branch not...

    Crickets breeding accidentally?

These guys are on a thermostat at 84 with constant fresh food and water, and my little guys I got with the rest are huge already some to big for my 4 month old cham even. But yah I guess I’ll just take out anything they could possibly lay in. I got red runners on the way and still a few cricket...

    Crickets breeding accidentally?

The two large ones are the small ones I got with the 200 that have now gotten bigger. And then the tiny guys are the new ones. There’s no way they should still be that small after almost 3 weeks if they were in the container of 200 right?

    Crickets breeding accidentally?

Yah I’ll post a pic when I get home of them. Cuz their so small I don’t see how they could still be that small if they came with my crickets two weeks ago know what I mean. Cuz they grow so damn fast. But yah I’ve had a sponge in there that I soak with water that came with a cricket keeper...
