I ordered some Phoenix worms.
Over the past few weeks some started to pupate.
In the last few days a few soldier flies have hatched out.
I already fed them off to my cham flash and just wanted some opinions on whether this is okay?
I did gut-load them similarly to house/blue-bottle flies...

If you want to grab it wear sturdy long leather gloves.
They are somewhat territorial so be aware it won't want to leave it's hidey hole until dark when it goes and hunts, or should.
Life as a smaller member of the food chain can be perilous. ;)

Some species of slugs hibernate underground during the winter in temperate climates. Which your location meets this criteria. ;)
Other species of slugs lay eggs underground or underneath plant matter.
Either way, the slug may have been hibernating and just woken up and crawled...
