I think of crickets of being more "cockroachish" to me then dubias. My daughter keep 3 and put them in a container as "pets" that sit on my living room table. They don't stink and arent bad to touch and feed either. I dont feed my cham them everyday as I see her getting spoiled on them if I do...
I use a small one that sits beside me on my computer blowing into my cage and it dosent bother me at all and I am in here ALOT. I use a rubber tree and it seems to love it aswell. If it is not an cool ultrasonic humidifer then don't waste your money as they don't "clog up" like the cheaper ones...
I get mine at the bait shop here in town. 2 reasons is they are FAMILY owned and have been for over 25 years and I KNOW were the farm they get there crickets from. I also like they dont count them out 1 by 1 like petsmart does. I buy 100 crickets for 3.70$ and buy them a week or 2 ahead and...
Yep...get you a shower curtian or thick mil plastic and cover 2 or 3 sides of the outside cage and it will hold humidity up longer. I run a humidifier up at the top of the cage and do well.
Well hello there Leaf. I can tell you that your chameleon will shed within the next 4 weeks or so. She is a VERY beautiful cham and HAS gained alot of weight since YOU got her.She eats alot of different things and loves you lots and wishs YOU would water her and not make your dad do it. As far...
I also agree with you. I just wanted to get "sum" info out there as I been seing alot of jacsons with problems as of late and with them being "different" then the panthers and veilds I thought this was a good start. So by all means input is MORE then welcome to keep the jacksons alive and...

Jack. I fill the bottle 2 times a day and no worries. I only get 50% humidity but you know what the weather is here in the midwest and my furnace eats my humidity up. I see no harm in a humidifer.
I was using a repti sun self ballasted compact 5.0 and it was burning my little girls eyes as it was not a lineal bulb. I beleave it was to much pointed right at her. I am now using a 24inch repti glow 10.0 and she is doing great with this brand. I stepped up to the 10.0 as I have a big cage now.
