Well, I'll do my part to get this thread back on topic. I was planning on making a thread to post these pictures, but I'll just post them here instead. This is how I found my crested chameleon, Chrysoprase, last friday morning.
Thank you. The super slow mo feature on my phone camera that I used will only record up to 0.8 seconds at a time, so it can be tricky hitting the record button at just the right time to catch them shooting their tongue. It would be nice if they could have made it so it just records on a loop...
I got a few slow mo videos of my chams eating today.
Here's Giwa my Calumma brevicorne
And here's Chrysoprase my female Trioceros cristatus
She missed in this one, but it was still a good shot
You can also get screen repair patches. I got this at walmart in case I ever needed it.

She was in a good spot for pictures a couple of days ago, so I took advantage.
And a couple of her drinking.
I still haven't come up with a name for her. Any suggestions are welcome.
They look great. I wish my male would let me get some good pictures of him like yours. If he's not already hiding in his plants, he immediately turns dark and flees for cover as soon as I walk into my chams room.
Thank you all for the condolences. I was concerned about the female cristatus at first too. I fed her some super worms the day after I got them, and after she ate them, she just sat there and closed her eyes. She would still drink when the mister came on, and she looked a little dehydrated...
I took some pics of my chams today and thought I'd share.
Here's my female T. cristatus
Here's the male
He's pretty shy, so this is the view I have of him most of the time
And here's my female C. brevicorne, Giwa
Unfortunately, my male brevicorne died on June 2nd. He wasn't looking...
This is a female I got a few clutches of eggs from.
Here are some of her babies.
And this is one of the males I managed to raise to adulthood.
I could only get good pictures of him when he was asleep because he would shy away from the camera. There are some more pictures in the media...
I got a pair of crested chameleons from Steve at Chameleons International today.
Here's the female.
And the male.
I'll try to get some better pictures of the male if he stops hiding from me. There was also a surprise in the bag with the female.
She laid eggs during shipment. I had the...
My C. brevicorne female, Giwa, laid a clutch of eggs over the weekend.
She had been getting really restless last week and was literally climbing the walls in her cage, so I figured she was getting close. I found 26 eggs in the hole she dug. If anyone has any tips on incubating them, I'm open...
T. q. eisentrauti was originally classified as a seperate species, but they did a genetic survey several years ago of cristatus complex chameleons and found that T. q. eisentrauti was only as genetically distinct from T. q. quadricornis as T. q. gracilior is, so they reclassified it as a...
