    Rescued a Veiled, need help.

The only thing I get locally is crickets (and superworms), and I get them from Petsmart (unfortunately) because you can't trust 'bait shop' crickets. Not saying that crickets from petsmart are always safe, but it's a better chance they are in comparison to a bait shop. You CAN get crickets...

Hello! When am I no longer a beginner?

My first panther was my first chameleon, first reptile. I got on this forum any second I had to spare and I read everything I could. Literally, every new thread that came up, I read. Because while someone might just post a picture of their chameleon, a 'experienced' keeper might come by and see...

    My second addition!

I try not to do things to stress him, but sometimes it's just unavoidable.... but the 'pose' cracks me up.... I can hear jackie chann and a "hoaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh" and think of a ninja chop with the foot-under-the-chin-pose... haha :) And oh my gosh he is a jumper (he jumped from me about a foot...

    My second addition!

a little update.... So here's some updated pictures of "FLASH"! He LOVES coming out of his cage, on his own of course..... I hook a branch up from the free range to his cage and he immediately comes out and roams all over! I just kinda let him do whatever (like I've done with Chief) and he...

    My second addition!

Thanks Carl! I really look forward to seeing his changes. Chief was younger so I got to see the tail end of his maturing time. So with Flash being older, it's anticipation of getting him to where he should be and seeing how he will look! Chief has come a LONG way. He is so sweet and laid...

    My second addition!

I wanted to introduce my new handsome boy! I've had Chief for a year now (I know, I'm no expert, but I really took my time getting to know Chief before pursing another chameleon) I found this little dude on a craigslist ad in Florida. We were going to be an hour and a half away from him when we...

    sticky tongue farms?

With everyones suggestion, I placed an order with them on 11/29 for all three supplements (in the smaller containers). It was like a $40 something total order. I read that they ask for 7-14 business days for processing and to ship the stuff out (it's actually cut off on my computer, but I...

Easy small nothing fancy free range?

I went and bought one of those wood trellis things from lowe's ($12) it's about 6-7' tall, and I have it leaned against the wall next to the cage (that is sitting on top of a white plastic utility sink for drainage). I have two pothos plants that I 'recycle' out. I'll hang one on the trellis and...

Dubia Roaches - Can they eat hay?

I've gotten the alfalfa/timothy cubes and beat them with a mallet, and shred the rest with my fingers. I'll put a thin layer in their bin, and they'll eat it slowly along with whatever veggies I toss in.

    Safe Disinfectants

I mix a solution up of dawn dish soap (blue kind) with bleach, with water to dilute it down. I'll take the cage (outside of course) and blast everything with the water hose first then spray the entire bottle all over everything, and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. Then I blast it all over...

    Repticon soon! Yay!

I go to the one in Columbia, SC. Thats actually where I ran into my panther. But our show is 95% snakes. I mainly go if I'm needing some hornworms, new branches, UVB lights, etc. I've only seen panthers at ours a couple of times, and they were 1-5 months old, and started around $450+, lol. I...

    100 watts for winter days?

We keep our heat set between 65-68 degrees. Our rental is not energy efficient at all, so we can't afford to keep the place heated to a comfortable temperature for us. :( I run a 100 watt bulb all year long, but my bulb is in a dimmer lamp, so I can adjust it up and down throughout the year.

26 Chameleons stolen from Kissimmee FL

I saw the posts on facebook, but I haven't been on the forums in a week or so.... I'm so sad that someone would do this to any creature. I'm so sad to hear about the wounds and broken bones :( So very frustrating and I cannot imagine what your feeling and going through. I'm glad you were able to...
