Thanks for the input guys! I'll probably go with an Aquazamp .9GPH misting system along with a raining system. Does anyone know if I would need distilled water for the mister, or would tap water be ok?
I have heard quite a few good things about both (compared to Zoo Med or Exo Terra) but I would like some feedback on which is better.
As far as I can tell, MistKing doesn't come with a reservoir whereas Aquazamp does.
Has anyone had any bad experiences with either?
Also, what is the...
Haha "hitchhikers," I like that. :D
I'll probably go with the apricot, and yeah, I'll strip the leaves and probably shave off the bark for cleanliness.
So I want to put some tree branches in my chameleon cage.
Currently I have a plum tree, apricot tree, cherry tree, and a nectarine tree.
Are any of these trees' branches safe for chams? From my research, I have found that plum leaves are toxic, but cherry and apricot trees are safe...
Thanks for the help guys. (Yeah, I forgot to put thermometer/hydrometer. I do have them though :D) Im not sure how well they work since they were very cheap...
I dont think my local store sells pothos or umbrellas though. Has anyone been successful with buying live plants/trees online...
Hey everyone, I'm getting a Carpet Cham and I would like to know what else I should have in my cage.
What I have so far:
24" 24" 48" Screen Cage
ReptiFogger (This may also function as a dripper)
75 watt Basking Lamp
18" UVB exo terra Fluorescent Lamp
50 watt Night Heat Lamp...
Hey Guys,
Just the other day I bought a ficus tree from Lowes for my cham (which i dont have yet :( )
I noticed dirt/dust/pesticide on the leaves of the plant.
How do I safely remove the pesticide/dirt so the ficus is chameleon-safe?
Thanks for all your help :):D
Hey guys, today I set up a small "test" vivarium.
In it, I tried out Zoo Meds waterfall idea: (Place a pump in a layer of hydroballs under the substrate and pump water up to make a waterfall)
However, I noticed that the water pumped up to the top of the waterfall was kinda dirty.
Is it...
I am thinking of a viv about 4' L 2' W 5' H. Is that large enough?
As for the waterfall: i was thinking of modding it a bit so it would be more shallow or something
Hey guys, I am going to set up a vivarium, with a fogger, waterfall, moss, trees, etc...
Is there any type of cham (besides a pygmy) that can live in a viv?
I am currently looking into quads and rudis but I hear they need really good ventilation.
Could they thrive in a viv?
Thanks...
And with wc animals, doesn't the trip here with poor food and water stress them out? The online stores I asked said that they do not ship them unless they are eating well and healthy  but idk how true that is
