went to the vet and it was just saliva. she had a big drink a few minutes before it happened and i guess it's pretty common.

My chameleon just took a HUGE pee and poop and then spit out a bunch of clear slimy stuff. what is this? i just made an appointment for later today but is she in need of help NOW?

maybe i'll try to get a pic later when she's not basking. sometimes she looks VERY fat. depending on where she falls asleep tonight i'll hopefully be able to get a better pic.

oh and the last time she pooped was about 3 days ago

we think she is about 10 months. she is eating much less then normal. has been roaming for a looooong time now but has not ventured to the bottom of the cage to check out the laying bin. has not been mated. i thought she was ready awhile ago. i have made an appointment with the vet for tomorrow...

does she look ready to lay?

my female veiled cham is also named Fiona!! what made you pick the name? i am also anxiously awaiting her to lay eggs.

i found a place near my house that supplies pvc sheeting!! which is (i think) in the bottom of most manufactured cages. if i use plastic sheeting on the outside of the screen of 2 sides of my cage to prevent water spraying on the walls will this defeat the purpose of having an all screen...

hi, awesome cage! is "cement pan" the actual name of that thing? i can't seem to find an appropriate bottom for my cage and like the look of what you have. where did you find it?

i've been having a hard time finding a bottom for the cage. i was hoping to be able to find a storage bin measuring at least 2' X 2' but haven't been able to. any suggestions?

i definately think it was too much water. and fiona tends to pull the branches till they droop to the ground. and then eats all the leaves off the top of the tree.... silly brat. hasn't been eating the pothos though. not as tasty?

somwhat unrelated but i have a question. lately she's often darker colors on one side and light green and yellow on the other side? is this normal? what does it mean?

i have towels up around her cage and a laying bin with a mix of sand and coco fiber husk stuff. she does not seem at all interested in it though.

so basically i should relax, lol. :)

i have a pothos in there now. how would you recommend putting it in? hanging or on the bottom and make it go upwards?

my umbrella trees keep dying!!!! anyone else have this issue/solutions? any suggestions for some heartier plants that are ok for the occasional snack?
