How old is she? Is she still eating? Has she been roaming around? Has she been mated? It's hard to tell from the pictures. Do you have a laying bin in for her just in case?

we think she is about 10 months. she is eating much less then normal. has been roaming for a looooong time now but has not ventured to the bottom of the cage to check out the laying bin. has not been mated. i thought she was ready awhile ago. i have made an appointment with the vet for tomorrow just in case.

just reading throught the forums i found everyone always says, upload pics and we can tell you if she's ready! so, figured i'd upload pics.

My little girl didn't get very big at all with her clutch of infertile eggs. She did stop eating for about 5 days and roamed around like crazy before laying eggs in the soil of a large plant. She will have nothing to do with a laying bin. The second time she had been mated and was huge but still wouldn't use a laying bin. My husband fixed her up with a big trash can. How big is your laying bin? Here's a link to the big trash can if you would like to see it. https://www.chameleonforums.com/camilles-eggs-43-them-28568/

She doesn't look obviously 'eggy' but it looks like she is flattened as she's basking in the sunshine. They are very good at 'sucking everything in'! Lily was an expert, lol! :D

maybe i'll try to get a pic later when she's not basking. sometimes she looks VERY fat. depending on where she falls asleep tonight i'll hopefully be able to get a better pic.

Here's a pic of Lily to show how big she was when she was near to laying. Both clutches were over 100 infertiles each but she still managed to suck herself in, lol! Dunno quite where she put them all though!
