• Responding to see what was making the most horrible screaming in my back yard, found a black racer trying to eat a big tree frog, feet first. Released Beast dog and snake is going to have to find it’s meal elsewhere and hopefully out of my yard. Put poor froggy in my shed with it’s kin.

Checked to see how froggy is and he’s recovered enough to hop from where I placed him and is hiding. Hope his little feet’s are ok.

Dang it! That black racer has been hanging around and has managed to snag himself a fat frog...maybe the same one from the other day. Looks like he grabbed it head first, so no screaming. RIP froggy. 😢

lol Try catching an escaped mouse that jumped out of the frog tank while spouse is napping ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz. It all happened in the living room a few years back. She never knew, so burn this msg after reading. I was the Ninja Mouse Catcher but a very stressful moment of escapees. Shhhhhhhhhhh
Sometimes I am surprised at how I fail to think properly. Due to a moment of stupidity, I now have about 100 silkworms cocooning wherever they want in and out of their bin. No way to fix it now either.
Last week my sis came over and got to see all of my lizards for the first time. It was so cute that she had to touch each one to see what they feel like, after asking if they bite. 🤗 It was hilarious when she turned her head and jumped a mile when she saw beardie Spike just hanging out in his enclosure. She didn’t want to touch him.😂
    Argh! 🤬🤬🤬 Fire ants suck!

Sorry to hear. I know what it feels like-- about 200 plus got me in Hawaii many years ago.. I didn't know I was standing on their nest. Sneaky little b's climbed all over (didn't even feel them), then SHAZAM! All at one time.. Then the little pustules for the next week.. Becarful!

Holy crap! They’ve never gotten me that bad! Accidentally found a nest with my feet and legs, but only a few dozen got me. Oddly enough though, it seems to have precipitated a 15 year long battle with chronic eczema to feet and legs. No idea if related, but seems suspish.

We all have triggers effect us differently.
This is a new one. Just had a soft shelled turtle ‘knock’ on my front door. I have geckos living beneath the gecko ornaments outside my house, anoles living between my screens and windows and tree frogs living in my shed. Ok, living in Florida has some merit.

So funny about the turtle.. My mother who is in mid 80's called me last week ( near Disney) and told me a baby Softshell turtle was walking past her door and into community pond.
I shared with her that our grandson found about 8 months ago, of a baby softshell in his hand in GA.
NOW my story: My first baby turtle found in Illinois was a baby softshell and this was about 1979 in the Little Cal river.

It is rare to see reptile wildlife in Maine unless you go looking for it in the summer but it is there. I lived in California for 17 years and saw a lot! I miss it but not California! Lol! I’ve never lived in Florida but it seems like everything I love is there. I can’t stand the humidity and heat though. Makes it hard to breathe.
Nothing like finding an adult discoid roach just hanging out in your kitchen. Must have been one that escaped the chams…probably my slow eater Jack.

You know I have a comment or story for everything--
    1. Stationed on camp Pendleton doing an over night security watch.. I was given 2 hours to rest, fell asleep by a evergreen bush. So when I had awaken everyone in the tent was laughing at me.. I had 4 dead spiders on my forehead. I probably thought they were mosquitos and brushed them off. Nope, just a chill pad for the spiders.. They did not bite me..

lol I don't like the max 400 plus characters.. Had a few other stories that I had to delete. But we all have stories and I could not even do your job..
100% could not do it... I was with hospice (observed) as my father died (few weeks) and it was SO -SO interesting how the body works and shuts down, but No no not for me.. Thanks for your work.. Hope I don't need that professional help anytime soon.. (y)
I need a little army of myself. It took forever and a day to get all of my reptiles moved into their new room. Now is taking just as long to clean up all the tools & stuff and put my bedroom back together as it was before I had the chams in it.
So excited! Hoping to get my babies moved into their room and upgraded enclosures this coming week. It’s been a lot of work, and still more to go. So very worth it though. 🤗
Almost done making the panels. Have put it off, but can’t any longer…I need more branches! No choice but to look like a crazy old woman on the side of the road scavenging from the downed dead tree that I found.
