My guyz are now insured :)

Just signed up my 4 boyz for the ONLY health insurance that covers exotics;
VPI.
They cover 90% of everything, plus surgeries up to $7,000.00

The cost in my case is 75.60 per cham, per year, but I am paying monthly,
so it's only $33.60 a month for all 4 chams.

On Squee alone, in the past 2 months I have spent almost $600.00 out of
pocket
Vets are very expensive here in MD :(

One thing though, they do not cover stuff like, a routine "checkup", like people
insurance, you need to be sick first

I can also cancel it at any time w/o a penalty fee, so it's not like a contract.

They will also cover Squee, who already has a med problem and under treatment.

Does anyone else use VPI for their chams?

I hope I did the right thing

Wow, that sounds good. Do they have a list of vets that you can use? 90% is better than MY insurance, lol.

That does sound VERY good, awesome you have that insurance. Great choice, I think, knowing how expensive these guys can be. :) And sometimes a pet may fall ill at a bad time, money-wise.

Awesome choice!

No, you can go to any vet, anywhere.
It's not like people docs, where you have to go to a "participating" doc.

They give you a bunch of these cards, you take to the vet, fill it out, and
mail it, and they re-imberse you.
I am told this process is very fast, and you get payment in a few days.

I sure hope this works out, the folks at my vet's office recommended them.

If you have several chams, this may be a really good idea.

I can add/deleat a cham to the policy whenever I want.

I covered my guys with them a few months ago. It does give you a bit of a sense of security. So often I see people post that there is something wrong with their Cham but since money is tight they can't go to the vet, now I could get on my soapbox on this one but I will stay silent on that; but insurance, for the small price tag, is a really good solution and safety net.

Costs about the same as a couple of lattes at Starbucks per month.

It covers all kinds of pets.
But if your pretty is already sick they won't cover you right away. You have to get them treated and cured first.
