Sorry for the late reply. He had his appointment the other day and they said he was completely fine. He has been eating great since he used the bathroom.
I set him one up earlier today because I want to get him a general check up anyway. The only spot they had open was for next Wednesday. Do you think he will be fine waiting for that long?
I completely cleaned out his enclosure last night and laid out paper towels so I can see any new waste. I haven't seen any yet, but I will update it if I find anything.
I have had my juvenile veiled for about a month now and have not had any issues with him not eating before now. A week prior to this I saw him accidentally eat a small piece of stringy stuff from the fake vine I have in his enclosure. I hesitated to put it in there and now I know I shouldn’t...
I keep the humidity around 60-70% during the day. I have also been working on setting up some lives plants when my budget allows it. He has constant access to drinking water from his dripper and i mist about 3 times a day.
Maybe i’m just paranoid because i’m a new chameleon owner, but I know that a good sign of dehydration is sunken eyes. I’m not quite sure what is considered sunken as I have only seen extreme cases. I have seen him drink before and his urates are nearly pure white. Are his eyes normal or do i...
I have been told about the hammock. I’m planning on moving it into my beardies enclosure asap. As for the light, I got the lowest wattage available (50w) and its still too hot. I will work on trying to suspend the light and see how that works.
I got my veiled 2 days ago and have noticed that he has been completely grey ever since hes been put in his new home. He was green when we bought him so i’m not sure what the issue is.
He has been basking quite a lot with his dark colors so I figured this was just him trying to warm up, but...
He sits on the hammock in the top left under the light quite a lot. The temperatures where he sits is around 90 degrees, which I thought would be too hot for a juvenile.
Thats a relief. One more question while i’m here. Since we got him hes been gray. The only time I have seen him as green as when we got him has been when he goes to sleep at night. Could this also be something that will pass as the stress reduces? Maybe i’m just being paranoid, but I would...
I just bought my first male juvenile veiled chameleon two days ago and he seems to be eating less than most people say their juvenile veileds eat.
I have been feeding him mealworms for the time being until my order of dubai roaches arrives. Hes been eating ~6 a day. Is this a normal stress...
