Thank you for the reply camryn. I’m going to give it a few days to see if he can get it out himself and I’ll gently mist him him for longer. If he cant I’ll be sure to take him to the vet.

IS keeping one eye closed*

My chameleon isn’t keeping one eye closed. He is continuing close the eye and open it again. Also is just keeping it closed. He’s being do this for about 40 seconds. Is this a normal thing? Could he have poked his eye with something?

I've heard that can lose their trust by grabbing them?

Thank you, Camryn for the reply. I did not think about the colors of the mitt.It'ss a bright yellow. The jacket I use is a dark grey. I'll keep that in mind to use darker colors. Handling does make me nervous, I'm sure the bite wouldn't be that bad, just intimidating on how they hiss and stuff...

Okay thank you. I read the handling link you sent me yesterday. The guy said how to get them on you hand to go home. He’s in a awkward spot right now to put my hand in front Of him. I tried to put my hand under him gently and he hissed when I touched him.

Do you think it would be a bad idea to leave the room while he is running around? Also I didn’t expect him to go out this far I thought he would stay on the plant next to his cage.
