Update... After visiting Eddie today, 5 hours later, vet called, and said he passed away. He said it was too stressful for a baby chameleon who just shed his skin and get that kind of wound. At his last hours, vet even tried to gave it oxygen support(not sure how he did that), but Eddie still...

OK as I posted in another therad, he(Eddie, 3+ months male veiled) was looking up and also not eating even if shedding was a week + ago. Earlier I noticed his health deteriorated, very thin in a matter of a couple of days, and this time, both eyes closed and not active, even if I mist...

Its as if its looking up in the sky. Does that mean its thirsty or it wants more sun or anything else? Just wondering cuz Im pretty new to this. Lately, he is at the topmost "wood plank" and just stares up... THANKS!

OK thanks guys! Ill do what you advised, though I mist him hard 3 times a day already. Ill try a really hot mist. Though earlier this morning, I saw his superworms vanished, Ill check with the new batch, hopefully its him who ate it and not some house gecko that got in.lol

Ill try to post pics soon. I heavy mist him daily to be sure. He is still active, very fast when he is being misted. He loves basking. Its just the appetite which is alarming. Should I take off any old skin that is still with him?

Im concerned now, cuz it eats a lot of superworms(small) and crickets, suddenly it stopped eating, and next day it was shedding. Now its a week after its shedding and its still not eatin. Its ribs start to show. There are still a few old skin in its belly part. Any idea why he is still not...

Oh ok... lol. Sorry about that. Im used to moulting cuz of my tarantulas and scorpions. lol. No wonder I cant find moult/moulting. THANKS!

just like a Bearded Dragon would... is this normal for them? Or once they open their mouths, it means they are reaching dangerous level of heat? Cuz for the bearded/frilled dragons, its normal. I saw my veiled opening its mouth while under the sun(the cage got lots of shade but it didnt hide...

Ah yeah I meant common in terms of something is wrong. Its a common sign of sickness. Well still got a lot to learn, and I try to learn them all! lol

Wow, closing their eyes are common huh? I read A LOT in this forums since Im new to the hobby too, and I see a lot of these. Is stress the number 1 reason?

THANKS! Yeah my cham's poop is normal alright! As of drinking, after having his first shower, he suddenly "puffed" his throat, opened and closed his mouth several times then made a sound, do you know what was that about? No more water was coming at that time, as I said, after. THANKS AGAIN...
