I did crickets for a long time but hate them. I am looking to start a Beatle colony tried horned worms. But half of them arrived too big. Some mealworms not sure yet what else I will do yet.
I tried that and my cham loved it but he started to get a bit dehydrated so I ended that. However I will try again at some point but will have to set up some kind of drip system for the free ranged tree.
Good video, I have only raised jacksons myself and while I have yet to have a different kind of chameleon (something that will be rectified once I am in the right situation). Yes I consider jacksons to be hearty. They like lower temps then panthers or viels. That is a great video and I agree...

Theres a viel for 55 bucks.
However if I may I think a jackons cham makes the best for a first time cham.
They are hardy and require less humidity, heat, then a panther or vieled and can even be okay in lower temps (as long...
It sounds like someone took her from the wild? If so maybe you can just release her. Also I think you can kept her if you want but you have to do reshearch just like any pet. Start by going to the nearest bookstore and pick up a few books on chameleons and their care. Second go to a pet store...
I gave him five today the glutton and good advice everyone as I stated more choices are on the way. I am trying to decide what kind of Beatles would be good he a Jackson the smaller kind. Which really is still a good size!
I have some hornedworms on the way from an online sight and I am also considering some kind of Beatle colony. He usually just goes right for his food especially if I put them on the screen somewhat close to him that's why I am so amused by his taunting. As always I love hearing advice though!
:p
I recently switched to a feeding bowl with mealworms in it, I had always resisted the feeding bowl thinking my cham would like free roaming food, but I am sick of crickets.
My cham looves the feeding bowl! He jus raises himself above it and stares down at the mealworms! He'll go around...
Everyone is pretty much covering it soo I will jsut say two things first, I did crickets for years and jusr recently switched to mealworms, hornedworms, and will be getting some beatles soon, even thinking about a colony of beatles they wil replenish themselves! Anyway don't do crickets they are...
I am no expert on this but it sounds like your cham was on a growing spurt ans is now done! As long as he is looking and acting healthy then I wouldn't get worried myself.
