so i have my cham cage / free range...and he keeps strolling away from his free range and climbs on all the stuff around it...has any ones cham ever escaped?2 of my friend chams escaped on them...soooo sad...

For our first chameleon we bought this ficus tree.. that was really too big for the room it was in but hey first chameleon, tree on sale.. why not.. anyway we would let him on the tree which he seemed to like he would even sleep there sometimes. But.. sometimes we would walk in and see this color splash on the floor.. there he was just walking around.. he'd look up at u ...and I would say "hi, where r u off to?" (good thing he didn't say Madagascar!) So, we couldn't leave the house w him on the tree. So there we were.. with this full size tree in the house.. and he would just rather have a walk-about. Free range didn't really work for our family.. would be nice though.

That's hilarious! I'm glad my Faly isn't a roamer! He's content with walking the rope from his cage to his tree, I would let him stay there full time but his stubborn ass won't cup feed due to his personal need to hunt :D

I tried that and my cham loved it but he started to get a bit dehydrated so I ended that. However I will try again at some point but will have to set up some kind of drip system for the free ranged tree.

Zip and Lulu run away lol. we find them on curtains and carpet and everything. Inigo, Xylia and Barnaby are content to stay in there tree... sigh... its like having children
