Recently got myself an adorable red tegu (5months old ) . I´ve had her for 5 days now and she is burried under the substrate 24/7, and I know that it is normal..
But then it is the problem with feeding her.. I tried putting food in a bowl and put it in her cage, but she is just staying...
Hi. My humidity have been spiking to about 89% after misting so I had to leave her cagedoor open.
What can the impact be on the cham being in too high humidity? I´ve noticed that she is spending more time down in the cage than high up, specially after misting. I got a laybox for her incase...
So this question touches mostly my leopardgecko, but my cham also.
when I feed either of them mealis or superworms, they always end up crawling out of the tank and develop to beetle somewere in the tank.. It sucks most with my geckos since they need a shallow dish to feed from and the worms...
So I tried that freezing mealworm thing so that they didn´t turn into beetles.. They were in the freezer for like 5 days, toke em out let them thaw. Woke up next morning to black dead mealis...

So my cham is currently at the bottom of her viv and drinking water from the bottom since it is a glass tank and water often collects on the bottom (I take it away every night before bedtime).
Ever heard of this before? She got a dripper and misting 4 times a day.
That interesting! Cause I made a simple freerange for Stella too! But she still dont understand that when my arm goes in the cage she will get to the freerange! Maybe she dont like it though..
How long did it take for your´s to understand that? :o
