Recently got myself an adorable red tegu (5months old ) . I´ve had her for 5 days now and she is burried under the substrate 24/7, and I know that it is normal..
But then it is the problem with feeding her.. I tried putting food in a bowl and put it in her cage, but she is just staying...
Hi. My humidity have been spiking to about 89% after misting so I had to leave her cagedoor open.
What can the impact be on the cham being in too high humidity? I´ve noticed that she is spending more time down in the cage than high up, specially after misting. I got a laybox for her incase...
So this question touches mostly my leopardgecko, but my cham also.
when I feed either of them mealis or superworms, they always end up crawling out of the tank and develop to beetle somewere in the tank.. It sucks most with my geckos since they need a shallow dish to feed from and the worms...
So I tried that freezing mealworm thing so that they didn´t turn into beetles.. They were in the freezer for like 5 days, toke em out let them thaw. Woke up next morning to black dead mealis...
What went wrong?
So my cham is currently at the bottom of her viv and drinking water from the bottom since it is a glass tank and water often collects on the bottom (I take it away every night before bedtime).
Ever heard of this before? She got a dripper and misting 4 times a day.
That interesting! Cause I made a simple freerange for Stella too! But she still dont understand that when my arm goes in the cage she will get to the freerange! Maybe she dont like it though..
How long did it take for your´s to understand that? :o
Bought a exoterra heatmat for my dubias yesterday, but I read that once it is applied it cant be removed.. But does anyone know a way around this? I´ve been thinking like this:
Remove the plastic (as told) and apply four smal magnets on each side of the heatmat, and since my dubias are in a...
Wow thanks for that:D! I do love her soo much :o And I guess you are right! Hopefully she will catch up sooner or later!
Yeah that mealworm thing is a bit tricky since everyone have different opinions about that!
So my cham Stella is a veiled female and I was told she was 3 months old when I got her, she should now be 5months old. BUT I doubted that really much at the beginning, but now im starting to questions my own thought when over the past 2 months she has grown incredible little compared to other...
I thought so too! But I´ve had mine for about 4 months now and there are no difference.. She has actually got worse since :( She used to feed from my hand but now a days I cant even open the cage.
So I walked in a new reptile shop today and saw they had chameleons! BUT they were like all visible for all the visitors! And they were perfectly calm with lots of people looking up close on them?! I was like, what the heck.. HOW can they be that calm and tame when mine puffs up and runs like a...
Yeah I´ve thought of that too, but since im upgrading her to a mesh cage soon Im not bothering stressing her out with changes before the new cage comes. I haven´t find any of those worms here in Sweden unfortunatly.
