Get around a problem with heatmat?

Bought a exoterra heatmat for my dubias yesterday, but I read that once it is applied it cant be removed.. But does anyone know a way around this? I´ve been thinking like this:
Remove the plastic (as told) and apply four smal magnets on each side of the heatmat, and since my dubias are in a aquarium the magnets will stick to it and should be giving heat away anyways?

Correct me if im wrong and if you got a better idea, im listening! :)

Exoterra under tank heating mats are junk! (IMO of course!)

Their temps can go into "meltdown" and zoom up to 120F if not regulated.

They also have that stupid sticky side.

The best mats by far are UltraTherm and sold only from Bean Farms.

They have a circuit in them that senses the room temp, and adjusts it's self.
So you done get that "run away' high temp. and there is no sticky side.

You can stick them to the bottom with silicone cements, which is easy to
remove in case you want to.

I´ve discovered that too now! To late though.. Will the heat get through that silicone?
