For the last couple of weeks my male panter chameleon who is 3 years old has had some trouble with his left eye.
At the beginning we noticed he was closing it during the day quite frequently and near the front of his eye socket looked a bit swollen so we frequently gave him showers and spray...
I know that and I do think some of it has to do with his genetics as he is much like his dad. I have learnt a lot from this thread and I thank you for all the advice
I really don't think the pictures do him justice on here as he looks much better in real life but I'm really not concerned about his eyes or head. And his skin gets like that when he is trying to shed and he has always done that even when we first got him
He last ate on the 19th and all the food was dusted with that but because he eats so little can it still cause intoxication? We gut load the insects with lettuce, carrot, kale most of the time
Thanks for the advice :) we try to get him out in the sun as much as possible but at the minute the weather isn't perfect as we live in the uk. And yeah the next time we buy a uvb bulb I shall get a 12% one
No we offered him food afterwards but just looked at it. I don't think the cut is swollen or looks infected to me and sadly we have hardly any vets around where i live and they will most likely be only for 'typical house pets' haha
