Does your Chameleon catch prey by-hand?

Yep, his tongue is working fine... Honestly, I think it was more accidental than purposeful. He was hanging upside down in an awkward position while trying to stabilize himself (to shoot his tongue) but ended up grabbing the prey item instead of a nearby vine.

Does your Chameleon catch prey by-hand?

First time I’ve seen this... One of my adult Panther Chameleons (Skittles) grabbed his prey by-hand before biting it. Pictures and video below! Catching prey by-hand - 3 by NERVOUS posted Apr 4, 2018 at 2:28 PM Catching prey by-hand - 2 by NERVOUS posted Apr 4, 2018 at 2:28 PM Catching prey...

Light Your Reptiles - Tropic Blaze HO T5 Quad Fixture Issues

Yes, I contacted Todd at Light Your Reptiles. He was very responsive and offered to sell me the replacement sockets for a little less than $25 (shipped). What I'm trying to figure out is if this is a common problem or if there's possibly something about my setup that caused the sockets to...

Light Your Reptiles - Tropic Blaze HO T5 Quad Fixture Issues

Has anyone else here experienced issues with sockets breaking apart while replacing bulbs in a Light Your Reptiles Tropic Blaze HO T5 Quad Fixture? I have 2 of these fixtures; which had both been performing well to-date. However, when I tried replacing the bulbs 10 of the 16 sockets broke...

Enclosure Feedback - Dragon Strand, MistKing, and Zoo Med

Since I switched to Light Your Reptiles lighting fixtures, the plants have really flourished. There's way more greenery now than when I took the original pictures at the beginning of this thread. I have two identically configured Dragon Strand Atrium enclosures each housing one male Panther...

Enclosure Feedback - Dragon Strand, MistKing, and Zoo Med

Google "IKEA" and "BYGEL" if you want to see pictures of the containers. Then if you decide to purchase them, they're only available in-store or via 3rd party (i.e. eBay, etc).

Enclosure Feedback - Dragon Strand, MistKing, and Zoo Med

Thanks Irvin... I appreciate the kind feedback. (y) I didn't have any functional issues with the ReptiSun light fixture prior to switching to the Tropic Blaze light fixtures. The primary motivation for me switching (from Zoo Med to Light Your Reptiles) had more to do with wanting my plants...

Thanks @enomis... I appreciate the compliments! (y) The light fixture pictured at the beginning of this thread is the 24" T5 ReptiSun LED UVB from Zoo Med. I positioned the fixture with the LEDs towards the front of the enclosure so the UVB bulb would be centered over the center of the...
