That is definitely a possibility!!! Camo has taken hits from super worms, I don't leave crickets in the cage for that specific reason, but the bites are similar. I didn't put anything on his bites and they cleared up rather quickly. If you're having issues search the forum for cricket bites...

It's possible that are bites from food? Camo got bit on the side of his mouth from a worm and it left a black scab. If you're really this concerned I say make an appointment and wait. Is he eating okay?

Whoops, a *ton not a tom lol

Camo is a little over 6 months. He generally poops once a day. Sometimes he skips a day, but he eats a tom.

I understand he doesn't have red bars. I didn't want to assume anything considering his father clearly has thick red bars, so this is why I'm asking :-) I'm just curious if mixing locales was common or usually an accident.

I forgot to add that the sire is a red bar. I didn't come up with that out of the blue *lol* No pun intended.
