Hey guys!! I have a 4-5 month old male veiled chameleon and I was wondering how much should I be feeding him? I mainly feed him crickets and about 15 to 20 everyday

Hey cham enthusiasts lol quick question. Is it absolutely necessary to mist your chameleon every single day!? Like can they go a few days out of the week without a misting?

How early do you guys mist cham? Like should I mist as soon as I turn on lights or should I wait a while?

I have a quick question. If I take my lil veiled cham outside for 2 hrs of natural sunlight do I still need to powder food with D3 twice a month? Or is sunlight enough? I've researched and read that with natural sunlight they can balance the amount of D3 intake?

Mine's about the same age and the way I feed him is kinda both. I have a lil feeder cup that I put a good bunch (10) in most he catches on the spot and some get out those I just let him look around for while I head off to work. When I check on him on my lunch break they're all usually gone so...

So I live in the central valley california and it's been getting hot here during the day reaching around the 90s. Should I still turn on a basking bulb or should I just leave on the uvb light. I went to check on his basking temp earlier and it was really hot at 101 which is why I caught him...

It's best to try and do as much research as possible before buying your first cham. I too just kinda jumped into this head first without realizing I needed floaties so I wouldn't drown! This forum are the floaties by the way because I was drowning in worry about everything my lil guy seemed to...

I'm still new to this and still learning but what I've learned so far is that buying from petco or petsmart isn't a good idea! Their staff isn't too knowledgeable about the reptiles they're selling and they tend to keep them in the wrong type of habitat which adds to the stress they've already...
