Just to be safe I would use mesh all the way to respirator avoid problems. I have a wooden viv with all sides mesh and I live in Calgary, AB. This month had temps that were as low as -37 degrees Celsius. Just make sure your cham has enough heat.
I did the same method with my 4 month veiled, her right eye was closed for a week It had me worried I tried showering increasing misting with no avail. So i put a drop of fish oil on one feeder. I already notice a difference right away. I did this once every a week, 2 times in total I didn't...
I use RO water, I fill up an 18.6 gal jug every 2 weeks at superstore it cost around 2 bucks
I don't think Calgary tap water is sufficient for chameleons.
Weird, my little panther does this too, he trys to chew off bark from the sticks in his cage. Im keeping a close eye on him, hes kinda dopey it seems like haha
My guess it would be a phase suggested by shaunaroxanne
Nice! Im a dork too I guess
my little one ate four crickets from my hand soon after I got him, but hes has not done it since, maybe he was just really hungry haha
Great looking enclosure for sure, that big guy is gonna be happy in there, im hoping to do something like this one day when my little guy is grown, How does your drainage work? if you dont mind me asking.

A day or two after my last post I came home and my panther was shedding like crazy, it caught me by surprise. As of today the shed is 99% off. Its amazing to see how much the color changes.
Hes developed bright orange on his underside and sides, Ill take some...
Trust me hes much more impressive in person!!! hes too handsome. My gf did not want me getting him as well, but I couldnt help myself :D, I couldn't be more satisfied, ill upload some nice pics tomorrow, I going to add some more branches in the viv/quick cleaning so ill have to take him out!!
