    Melonia layed her first clutch!!!

Okay, finally found some vermiculite, after running around from Loews to Home Depot, to all the other local pet stores. Placed all the eggs (with out turning them) into little finger indent nests. I soaked the vermiculite then poured it all out on to a dish towel and wrapped it then twisted all...

    Melonia layed her first clutch!!!

I checked on my eggs today and it looks like a couple of the small/undersized ones are turning that dark yellow color as if they're hardening up, just a few though. How soon should I be getting ahold of the vermiculite? Will the sand suck all the moisture out the eggs, will they be okay till...

    Melonia layed her first clutch!!!

Hey guys and gals, Well I got what I would call a bit of a surprise the other day... A few months ago I built a partitioned cage for both my male and female cams, saves me space to put them in the same cage. Some how my girl (melonia) ended up on tango's side and I noticed a bit mark on her...

    Melonia jumped the fence!!

Nah, I've tightly stitched plastic vines on both sides of the divider so that they cannot see each other. The reason I built the cage the way I did was to save space in my 1/1 condo. Otherwise I would've built two separate cages.

    Melonia jumped the fence!!

I'm aware of housing multiples and the issues it arises... No puncture wounds just a decent chomp. After looking over the male it appears she didn't give in easily. I've posted pics of their new set up as well as the mark Tango left on Melonia. Thoughts of the set up and visual condition of...

    Melonia jumped the fence!!

Hey guys, I've recently finished my new cage (one piece/2 sections w/divider) and some how my female squeezed under the middle divider and ventured over to the male's (Tango) side. Looks like they had a little confrontation, as she has a decent bite outline on her veil. Gah, I hope they didn't...

Repti sun 10.0, is it bad?

So,.... If I'm understanding all this correctly, the 10.0 is good (even though the emitting light is dim) the 5.0 is fine as well, the problem is the fact that the lights are compact?. When I purchased my pair (male/female) from FLchams, Mike told me to get a 10.0 and a 5.0, so he was right...

Repti sun 10.0, is it bad?

Ok, I've got a reptisun 10.0 fluorescent compact bulb (fits in a regular bulb socket) and it seems really dim, not nearly as bright as my reptisun 5.0, is my bulb bad, or is it supposed to be dim. I understand that even though a light may be dim, they should still be emitting the required...

    Florida Keepers...

Hey guys, as some may be aware of from previous posts, I'm camped out in south St. Petersburg Fl., Weathers been real hot and humid, frequent afternoon and evening storms, little breeze unless storms are blow'n. Have you guys brought your chams (veiled) indoors yet? Has it been too hot outside...

    Receptive veiled coloration.

I've always heard of a "jet black color with yellow accents" as being gravid or receptive color.... Dose this sound accurate?
