Ya, we still haven't finished the bottom for the drainage as we are waiting on a custom piece of plexi. We added a bunch more stuff but we still haven't found a large enough live plant, it I difficult where we live. Thanks for the tip!

So it has been a couple weeks now and his claws have grown back a little bit. I think he will be back to normal in a couple weeks. He loves his new cage!

How long have you had her now? Maybe she just needs a couple days to get comfortable with her surroundings?

I was snickering at what was used to deter his/her chameleons, and I think it is great. We have rocks in there that are bigger than his and her head so thanks for the tips. Someone needs to relax.

Haha, we haven't had an issue with either of our two chams. Both haven't cared about dirt at all and the crickets tend to stay out of the soil. Good luck, hopefully all your deterrents work!

This is a wonderful idea. Just the other day I bought a bowl like this: At petsmart, it is for parrots for good or water. Well it has this handy clamp that you can attach to the side of your cage or clamp onto a stick or something in the cage. The best part is the bowl part just twists off...

Our 8 month old panther just stands under the dripper and licks his lips. It's funny to watch. We misted all around our baby chams and never had an issue. I tried to avoid spraying them directly as mine didn't really like it.

This is an interesting question and I would have to speculate as the others have that we wouldn't know they had the eye structure that they do. I think because the eye socket is so huge and it looks like there are a lot of little muscle attachment points on these skulls that they would know...

Thanks for posting, that article is very interesting. With my female panther I have a hard time every other day trying to find her in a 48" x 48" x 22" cage. She blends in so well, although I almost always find the male in his cage, big difference for sure.

Do you have pics of his indoor enclosure?

Just a quick update, Mack has moved into his new home and he has been exploring for the last couple hours. He has drank from his dripper and eaten crickets already so I would guess that he feels at home already! And about his nails, he isn't climbing on the walls now, so I think they will grow...

thanks for the post, it is always great to see what others are up to. I want to add more horizontal sticks and stuff but I love the natural look, not the straight dowels. I guess a trip back to the river banks might be in order! Nice setup!

So we have finished the major components of our new cage. The dimensions of the whole thing are 93" x 22" x 36" but Mack will have 60" x 22" x 36" to roam! A big improvement from his old mesh repti-breeze. We still have to finish the drainage system, only a basin right now. And add panels on...
