    Persistent eye irritation

Thanks for your response. I was told the herptivite here 2 years ago but recently learned the other ones are better, so I do plan on switching to that asap. I generally do not mist her, as she absolutely hates it and it stresses her out more than anything else. I mist the plants around her...

    Female veiled with skin problems

Yes she won't come out on her own free will. I spot clean as much as possible but I have had to take her out to clean. As for her colors, I would love if she were receptive but I am definitely not going to put her through breeding when she has a health concern.

    Female veiled with skin problems

This site always leaves me more questions than I come with. The herptivite, which I am willing to change up, instructions are to use at all feedings. My male veiled has been on this regimen for nearly a year and is doing great. She has only been on this for 1 month, but she's also not eating...

    Female veiled with skin problems

This is the best I can get right now, lights just went out. The gloves are because she is beyond feisty. She's a bitter and I don't want to jump and make her uncomfortable when she gets me when taking her out of her cage. So needless today I can't touch anywhere without getting bit so I wouldn't...

    Best Lighting combo for veiled

Thanks for the tip. The heat bulb is on the right side of the double bulb housing. Its about 7" from the bulb to the stick (I know it should be measured to his back but he usually hangs out sideways parallel to the stick) I have a probe thermometer right above the stick in the fake plant that...

    Best Lighting combo for veiled

I recently built a big custom cage (19"×36"×50") for my male veiled chameleon (apx 7 months old) I have been using the reptisun 5.0 UVB and 75watt daylight basking spot lamp. With the size of the new cage it was not getting warm enough in his cage so about a week ago I added a second 40w...

    Gut loading cricket time line?

I have searched for answers on previous posts here, but haven't found anything. The care sheet says specifically to feed/gut load insects and then immediately feed them to chameleon no longer than 12 hours after. Is there a reason the insects shouldnt be eating a gut load based diet for long...

    Is something wrong?

Thanks for the response. My house is about 60 over night but his gauge was reading mid 50s so I got the ceramic to help in the winter months. I use it in combination with the light during the colder days to keep the cage warmer throughout because we keep out house heated to 62° and the screen...

    Is something wrong?

I have had my vieled chameleon for 3 weeks now, estimated age 3-4 months. He always stays on his basking branch, Only venturing once or twice a day to eat or drink. He never hides during the day, even though he has a ton of foliage. He has, over the last week or so, also stopped hiding at...
