    Angered by incompetence

Just an FYI about mating a veiled with a panther; it is genetically impossible because and I believe it was Chris Anderson who told us on a Facebook group that the DNA from each chameleon is not compatible as (I forget the exact details) each chameleon has a different number and it doesn't 'line...

Urgent! My chameleon needs surgery or she'll die. Need advice please.

Also, I am not sure where you are located but for me, having my previous girl go through surgery to rid herself of the eggs and spay her I paid about CAD $125.00.

Honestly to me your girl doesn't look quite ready to lay. I am comparing her to my girl Daisy who is fairly chubby and of similar build. Daisy always has very large clutches and will often look like a little bag of marbles. I always worry, but she always knows just when the right time is to lay!

Urgent! My chameleon needs surgery or she'll die. Need advice please.

Hi there, I think I replied in your other post, but I've been alerted to this one and was awed to comment with any advice. First of all your gir is beautiful! She is very chubby and is probably very uncomfortable that is why she isn't eating. I currently have a gravid gal who has been off of...

Isis is holding me hostage! ADVICE Please!!

Wow, this post just won't die! :D Tredel I personally use 60% soil and 40% playsand. I wash the playsand and when I mix the two together I keep it moist enough that I can make a tunnel with my finger and it won't collapse in when I take my finger out. You don't want her tunnel collapsing on...

Isis is holding me hostage! ADVICE Please!!

Hi there, odd to see a post from a couple years ago but an update is indeed in order: Isis never mated with Camo, she ended up passing 4 months after surgery to help her as she had become eggbound. I miss her terribly. I also no longer have Camo; my old love lived to 5 and a half years old. Not...

    A bad cham day...

Thanks Junglefries! I am most certain now that he will recover. He's eating and drinking well and his bites and wounds are healing. Lesson definitely learned.

    A bad cham day...

I have been away for the weekend (took Dexter with me!) and while he's doing okay and recovering from his wounds, I am going to take him back to the vet as his left side is concave and not puffing out with breathing. My vet felt his sides and prodded his internal organs with his hands and felt...

    A bad cham day...

Thanks, yes it was nasty. I feel like I let my boy down. It hasn't made for a good day.

    A bad cham day...

So today I had a chameleon 'incident' occur that saw my young, and very treasured male veiled Dexter be attacked by a new and older (& somewhat 'mean') male veiled chameleon Norman, who I acquired 4 days ago from a friend who was downsizing. Norman found his way easily into Dexters outdoor cage...

    2days away

It's a good start but you need to have more vines winding throughout the cage. You have the space - use it!! Also, your Cham will need to have a spot closer to the basking light, it's quite far away as it is now.
