    Fruits & Vegi's???

you can do both. most chams will eat veggies and some fruits, just use the search feature on this site to make sure they are safe for you cham to eat. if your cham wont eat any veggies, then yes gut loading the crickets with veggies and fruits is a good idea.

    My chams won't eat dubias...

Yeah , i agree lateralis are great just be carefull they are fast! if one gets out good luck catching it. For that reason i would recomend only cup feeding lateralis. (and make sure they cant get out of the cup)

What to place as floor for bottom of cage?

Yeah, its best to keep it bare for easy clean up. if you dont like the plain look you can go to your local hardware store and pick up a couple pieces of vinyl tile and cut it to fit the bottom of your cage. It ads nice color and very easy to install as the back of the tile is sticky so all you...

    Best way to secure branches

I use a 5/8 size, i also use a soft wood(that way the cham can easily grip it), there are normally a few differnt types of wood to choose from at the hardwood store.

    Best way to secure branches

What works for me is i secure the wooden dowels to the screen by cutting them the exact width of the cage and using large style push pins on each side, from the outside to hold them in place. then I secure all my branches inside to the dowels, that way i dont have to mess up the screen at all.

Worms /beetles in with the crickets...

I also get the black centipede looking worms in with my crickets. Never seen the beetles though. I wanst sure if they came with the crickets or the cricket food. I do see small brownish gold looking beetles in the cricket food sometime.

    Backyard Insects?

I would just be careful and still worry about pesticides from your neighbors yard, depending on where you live. i live in your typical suburban neighborhood & i dont use pesticides but i still dont risk it, because i dont know what my neighbors use in there yard. But my parents live in the...

Blackmarket Sydney - dealing in deadly dogs

"one still has to remember it is a pit bull and should be treated as such. You wouldn't leave a friendly 20 ft python alone with an infant. Dogs should be treated no different." i totally agree with you pure, we all love are dogs but we need to remember they are still animals and not human...

My Veiled not a fan of Silkworms

Dont give up, just keep trying & be patient and give it some time. it took my guy a while too, not only for silkworms but also waxworms. The size of your cham might also play into this, when they are small bigger prey items might intimidate them some.

Free roaming a large 6ft ficus...

thanks for the quick replies! To clarify a little i would only let him use the tree when i can watch him (maybe a couple hours a day a few times a week) then its back in his cage.

Free roaming a large 6ft ficus...

What do you guys & gals think, I just got a 6ft ficus benjamina for free & after cleaning, pruning and repotting, I want to let my young male veiled have at it. He is only about 4-5 inches (7 inches with tail), does anybody think he is too little to be climbing that high? thanks.
