Jr Had Emergency Surgery

Yesterday evening my little one eye guy had hemipenis prolapse. I had to rush him an hour south of here to Dr. April at the 24 hour clinic. She sees allot of birds and a few reptiles. It was way closer than either of my regular chameleon vets. She was unable to get it back in and had to amputate. Jr had to stay the night and I just picked him up and have him back home with me. He seems ok although your thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear he had to have surgery but very glad to hear that it was succesfull and that he's gonna be alright. Poor guy!!! Good thing you had a 24 hr. emergency vet "close" and that the vet knew how to handle the situation!! We're wishing him a speedy recovery!!

Thank you so much everyone. I've got him settled in on the hospital tree and will have to go to work shortly since I missed yesterday evening. My husband will come check on all of them and then later my daughter will come by.

I live in fear of seeing one of my boys with a prolapse, great work getting him the immediate attention he needed to prevent preolonged suffering. Poor little fella... I know he will be ok though.

Jann, our thoughts and prayers are there for you and Jr.,hope that boy will be OK and I'm sure with the quick actions by you and with your care he will be.......he does look beautiful in that photo.
