Identifying Chameleons

Do sambava,ambilobe and ambanja have different patterns? I know they have diffents colors and intensity, but was wonder if you can tell by the vertical lines? My chameleon is almost 12 months and was told it was a sambava, but he is not getting any bright colors....what do you guy and gals think????

Well most panthers have the Y bar and sambavas have a U bar. From your boys bars, he looks sambava, im surprised he doesnt even have some colour on his neck/throat, but I have heard that sambavas take longer to develope colour so maybe 1.5 years he will be much better in colour.
