So I woke up this morning and found 2 babies in the cage on the screen, Since then she has had 4 more. But the thing is she still looks big and she has not had any babies in hours. Is there something wrong, Does she just stay that big or can them giving birth last a LONG time? Also I have 2 that appeared to be dead at first but I left them in there and now they are visibly alive, They are breathing and their eyes are open and moving BUT they are not moving they are just on the bottom of the cage on their sides (is this common) and also any tips from rudis breeders is very much welcomed and appreciated!:eek:

Are the babies that you thought were dead out of the sacs that they are born in? How long have you had the female?
If she's still fat and doesn't make any attempt to give birth to any more, then I would be tempted to take her to the vets for an xray and a shot of oxytocin if the vet says she still has babies in her. Leaving her without giving birth to the rest for very long can lead to death IMHO.
Also, I would recommend NOT letting her see you watching her if you think she still has more inside her.

Well the two That I thought were dead are coming around it seems! One of them could not move because it a has some sticky residue holding its feet together and the other seem like it is still in bad shape! And as for the mother she has been big since I got her but I have only had her for about 3 months. On a GOOD side not all the babies are steadily snacking on a supply of fruit flies at the moment! YAY any tips anyone can give me would be great!
