Trust

So I've seen some people talk about how they got their chameleons to "trust them", it seemed like fun so I thought I would do the same! I'm sure I've mentioned how i tamed Leon plenty of times before but this is just so I can have it all right here. So basically, I've read that you shouldn't touch them and to just give them their space for the first two or three weeks ( depending on the chameleon). After you let them settle, you should try and put your hand barely at the entrance of the cage for a few minutes to get them adjusted to you being in their territory and that they can go on you, i would leave the cage door open to let him see if he wants to go out of the cage a bit. You should also try to get them to notice that you have food in your hand and try to hand feed them, only offer it to them for two or three minutes, if they don't take it by then they're probably not interested tbh. Give your chameleon space too, don't try and hold it everyday, it's a long process for sure but if you do it right, you got a fun little pal.You should definitely avoid playing chase in the cage, let your mans come to you. All of this worked for me, but it also depends on your type of chameleon, some are just extra moody or nervous. If you do get your cham to chill with you I wouldn't hold it for long. I recommend buying a small indoor tree or something your dude can chill on while you have them out of the cage. Do not try and grab it out of your cage and if you're trying to have them go to someone else, let them go on their own pace, It's okay if they don't wanna go on someone. I like to let my chameleon choose where he goes and who it's on, if he doesn't come to me or anyone else, we don't touch him or force him. Sometimes he has his moods, but so does everything else. I don't know if this will help anyone but I really hope it does! This is just what worked for me. (Also excuse the blurry picture I just thought it looked really nice for some reason even though its blurry)(Also its an old pic lol)
