Build Log : 3 : buying supplies

I've been on the hunt for supplies for my build. Being the son of a son of a sailor (Yea Jimmy Buffet), no wait a shop teacher, I have all the tools and wood. I get to use the tools for free, and the wood only cost's educators cost. I Haven't decided between walnut or cherry. The cherry will cost roughly $45 the walnut is roughly 50$. Either way I'm not really worried about it.

The main cost for me was the Glass/Screen. When I looked around they both were more than I wanted to pay. But then something amazing happened. Every year where I live there is a huge auction (The Creston Auction for anyone near the area). So I went down to the auction like I do every year. That's when I saw it, and old sliding glass door with a screen. The glass was big enough to cover at least two of the three sides of the terrarium, possibly all three if I'm lucky, And the screen was more than enough for two cages!

I waited patiently for the bidding to start. I got a few other things, nothing exciting. After about an hour of waiting the glass/screen came up for bid.

The auctioneer said "do I hear $20" I did nothing.

"How about $10"
"Five"
I held up my number
"we've got 5 5 5 do I hear 10 10 right now its 5 5 5. $10"
and the bidding war started
10 I raise to 15 he raised to 20 I said 25, he did nothing.

I won the bid on glass and screen for my build for $25!!! My day was made.

Now that I have most of the supplies I need, I can get started!
