Zilla Tropical UVB light hood

So i just got this new hood from zilla and it came with a t8 zilla bulb already in place ready to be used. I wanted to know if i had remove the kthe linear tube already in the hood and buy reptisun 5.0

whats the model of the tube that came with it? Zilla does make good uv bulbs. If its just a full spectrum or a 1.0-2.0 made for a gecko then you will need to go buy a 5.0 8.0 10.0.


Edit: zilla still had bad tropical 25 bulbs going out in 2011. If you happen to get one you will have those bad ones that put out alot of uvc that are the ones harming the eyes. Just axe the bulb and get a repitsun 5.0, a reptiglo 8.0, or if its a 3-4ft tall tank, a repisun 10.0.

im using the zilla tropical bulb also, it seems to work fine without any problems. just make sure you remove the plastic piece thats blocking the uvb

Yea i already removed it. But i was wondering if i need to replace the linear bulb with reptisun 5.0
