Yoyo humming?

Hello friends! I have here a 5-6(?) month old male Veiled named Yoyo. I've had him in my care for a few months now, and I absolutely love him. I recently went on vacation and took him with me. I was going to have my friend babysit him along with Nugget, my beardie, but in the end I decided to take Yoyo with me as he isn't as hardy as my beardie and seem to be fragile. Anyways, to the point, I have been carrying Yoyo around in a cricket pen with some foliage. He has all his lighting and normal food schedule, and I let him free roam the place I'm staying at. Today though, I noticed him buzzing on me. It was short little intervals, and he'd do it after flattening himself out on the sun. (So like, when he squished back up to normal size, not skinny leaf mode.) I'm just wondering what it's about, is it good, bad, normal? Thanks!

My boy's chameleon "Narnia" hums when they are hanging around too! He would not do it for me though! Lol. They realy have a sweet bond!

I wonder if it is a bond thing. He only does it on me, only eats from my hand, and willingly climbs on me but freaks when someone else goes near him! He's such a character

I knew chameleons could hear at lower frequencies, but I never knew they hooted. I'm kinda curious as to why he'd hoot now of all times.

Always something new to learn about these reptiles! I've felt my cham do this many times before but just assumed it was because he maybe felt nervous about something. Didn't know it was also mating behavior.

Haha, my little guy has also started showing absolutely stunning color patterns. I believe he is looking for a girlfriend, and I have the resources to get another chameleon, but I have no idea where to get an adult veiled for him. I bought him from Primeval Pets in Medford OR, a very great reptile specialty place, but they only carry males. I don't wanna buy from somewhere awful like petsmart

So I guess what I'm asking is where a good place to buy is, and if he should get a girlfriend? Separate cages of course, and I'd love to mate these guys once I do more research.

That's amazing! I had no idea they were so popular. I live about 45 mins away from there, so that's usually where I get Yoyo hornworms and treats. Do you know any other places like there that take good care of animals? I'd love to support other smaller businesses
